Catch up...

The boys and I spent a few weeks up at my parents house while Brett was on travel for work.  It was a crazy time- my little brother was graduating from high school!  He is the last of us kids to graduate, finally leaving my parents with an empty nest after 37 years!  Can you imagine?!  For the big event, all the siblings, their respective families, aunts and uncles and grandparents traveled from California, Florida, Virginia and Maryland!  It was wonderful to see everyone!  Here are a few pictures from our visit!
Brett was able to come back for the weekend we had the graduation party.  Here he is playing chase with his nephews!  Well, he was playing chase, now catching his breath.

Ha!  Okay, there is a reason for this picture... Evan was too cute.  He spotted a bug crawling on the rocks...he poked at it, the bug decided to scurry into the crack...so this is Evan looking for the bug.  He was most curious.

Our little ham!  He was sooo happy in the Cozy Coupe!

Cooper with Great G&G King

I think he likes his Great Grandmommy!

Here you have Cooper laying down for some floor time...his cousin decided that looked like fun, so he joined Cooper on the blanket, then Evan decided to make faces with him.  Now if only this worked to get them to sleep...

Cousins and matchbox cars!

And the reason we were all together!  Congrats little brother!  We love you!

Today's Love

You know that ache in your heart when you are missing a loved one?  I've got that feeling today, I'm missing my hubby.  He's been on travel for almost 3 weeks and will hopefully be back late tomorrow- woo hoo! My sister's 10th Anniversary is today- how awesome is that!?!  Congrats to D & R!

That timing also means Brett and I have been together for over 10 years!  The first time Brett met my family- well he got to meet everyone...as he walked into the rehearsal dinner for my sister's wedding.  We had been dating for about 5 months before then.  What an introduction...  :-)  We had been together only a short time, but something told me he was the one.  It just felt right.  Long story short, we've been making memories ever since!

Can't wait to see you soon, Brett!  Love you bunches!

"Turn off the rain"

Today has been such a rainy and dreary day.  Blah.  I have the perfect pictures for today, but I'm too tired to find the cord needed to download the pictures from the camera.  Just picture too very unhappy baby faces.  Evan was full of whines.  I don't blame him.  I tried to make things more fun...we made play dough, we played in the sink...  Evan looked at me and said, "turn off the rain?"  I explained that there was no switch for the rain, only Mother Nature can make the rain stop.  Wouldn't that be handy though, to have a switch that controls the rain!

I'm hoping to take the boys to the park tomorrow, though, I'm worried it might be a bit flooded, since the rain hasn't let up at all today.  We'll see!  For now, I'm beat.  Hoping Cooper sleeps better tonight. I lost count last night how many times he woke up.  One time I woke up, he was snuggled up with me, and I couldn't remember if I just nursed him and was finished, or I had fallen asleep after I nursed him, or if I hadn't even nursed him at all...oh so confused.  And of course, I only had about 5 minutes of nap overlap today...  Need sleep!

Good night all!

Legos!

Evan got his first taste (not literally, thank goodness) of Legos last week thanks to his oldest cousin!  Owen pulled out all of Tucker's old Legos at Nana's house.  They had a blast.  Evan loved pulling all the little pieces apart and putting them together again.  His face looks a bit grumpy, but it's really concentration.

Here's some more concentration...Cooper is working on his grasping skills.  He's great at putting things in his mouth once he gets a hold of them....

They wore me out today!  I'm off to bed!

Brothers

Evan is a big fan of his little brother.  He gives Cooper hugs and kisses several times a day (not always at the most convenient times...) but this was a good time!  It was even a good times for some foot play.
....Evan also loves poking things right now- particularly people's and animals' faces...this is definitely not a good thing...we're working on it...right now it feels like I'm talking to a brick wall though...any suggestions?

Speaking of brothers...here's my little brother playing Jenga with Evan!  We were quite surprised Evan was able to get out and replace several Jenga blocks!

Cooper's First Time in the Pool!

Memorial Day means it's time for this 13 week old's first swim!

Getting psyched for his first swim with daddy.
Well, that was exhausting...I guess a nap before the swim is in order.
Finally, we're in the pool!  Cooper loved relaxing in the warm water!
Evan's turn for some much anticipated pool fun!

Hanging out with Daddy in the pool!

Woo hoo!  Splash time!
