Hand, Foot, Mouth...

Yep, we've been struck by hand, foot and mouth disease, formally known as the Coxsackie Virus!  Evan picked it up somewhere and lovingly spread it to his baby brother.  Evan ran a fairly low fever for about 36 hours after that he seemed to be back to himself.  Of course, I don't like it when he's sick, but I did get some good cuddles in when he fell asleep in my arms on the couch.  I know he had a sore throat too, as we our doctor saw blisters in his throat, which confirmed the virus (at his 2 year well-visit).  Our doctor said it's been going around!  Cooper just came down with a fever this afternoon and definitely doesn't feel well.  Here's hoping his fever and symptoms pass quickly!

Turn the ABC on!!!

Out of the mouths of babes...  We all know it's been hot recently!  A couple weekends ago we decided to take a long beach weekend!  We hit the beach first thing each day to avoid the worst of the heat and the intense sun.  Each day as we were trekking back to our car from the sandy beach, Evan would keep repeating, "turn the ABC on???"  He meant the AC, but since we've been learning out ABC, well the B carried over.  So now as the heat continues, whenever we are coming in from the hot outdoors, Evan asks for the ABC to be on.  None of my boys like the heat...

Happy Independence Day!

After learning that the big fireworks show wasn't going to be until 9:30, a little late for our little ones, we decided to do 4th of July toddler style: toddler pool, friends, food, and homemade ice cream!  They had a blast!
