Merry Christmas!

I'm having a difficult time selecting down photos of Christmas!  Way too many adorable ones!  Here are just a few!  We've been so busy trying to get all the fun in to each day!  Saturday we did some work around the house, then went to a train show at one of the local fire halls- they boys had a blast!  They got to see trains and fire trucks!!!  Sunday we were busy baking and seeing friends.  Monday we spent more time baking, doing some Christmas art projects, reading Christmas stories and just enjoying.  We tried to go to church for the Christmas Eve service, but after a slippery ride there, we found out the service was canceled!  Bummed!  I wanted to sing Christmas songs!  I know the boys would have loved it- next year!  Today of course was Christmas!  Evan still doesn't really get it, we introduced the idea of Santa this year...I think he'll be all over it next year.  We started our morning out with some delicious Almond and Orange waffles topped with strawberry flambe!  yumm!  Yeah, Brett for cooking!  Then we dug into our stockings!  I think the boys would have been totally content stopping there.  We actually had to convince Evan that maybe we should go check out the Christmas tree.  After that, it was all over!  They had so much fun opening gifts, trying to eat wrapping paper (Cooper), climbing all over the piles of goods and boxes, wow- talk about excitement!   Cooper ended up taking a 2.5 hour nap this morning!  After that we hit the slopes (our yard...) for some sledding, thanks to last night's snow!  Again, so much fun!  Brett and Evan even built another snowman.  And now we are all beat!  Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!  Enjoy the pictures.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Well our Thanksgiving had a last minute change of location.  We planned to go up to my parents, my sister and her family and my little brother would be there.  However, almost all of them had come down with the flu!  So my in laws took us in!  Here's a photo of my first Apple Pie, our small contribution.  Not nearly as difficult as I imagined pie making to be.  My husband says it was a success and has been encouraging more.

Our start to the day!  Both boys slept in until 7, if I recall- huge bonus, rarely happens!  Here's Cooper after I brought him in for some morning cuddles.
Good morning Evan :-)

Time to join in on the morning snuggles, though at this point it turns into tickles and squealing.

MMmmm...some morning milk.
Time to finish up packing!

The boys playing while we are making breakfast.

Time to go!

Gram and Pap discovered this kazoo in Pappy's old stuff.  Evan was loving it!

Skyping with Lori and Chris.
Bedtime stories with Pap.

Oh it's the most wonderful time of the year!  Time to look for a Christmas tree!

Evan helping daddy cut down our chosen tree.

Love, love, love this shot.

Typical November Days...

So sleepy, but I refuse to sleep in my crib for more than 40 mins.  (This has since changed, thank goodness!)

Tool Time!  Evan loves playing with his tools!!!  He loves to help Mama or Daddy fix things around the house and gets really excited if we get to use the drill!

Yep, Cooper is following in his brother's footsteps...although at this point, he chews on the tools...
Who me?

Bath time, double duty!  Time to wash off the finger paint, food, whatever we got into that day!

October in Review

Some highlights from October:
- Our niece was born!  She's beautiful and my brother's little family seems pretty happy with their addition!  I can't wait to meet her in person!
- Cooper started furniture surfing!
- Lots of pumpkin and fall fun!
- The boys and I spent about 2 weeks up in PA, dog sitting for my parents.  We ended up getting stuck there because of Hurricane Sandy.  The news/weather reports basically promised we were going to get nailed.  We really lucked out though and missed the worst of it.
- Halloween! (see past post for costume pictures)

Okay, here you go, remember me talking about how difficult it is to get a picture of both boys together...  here are a few attempts!

I like this one!  Neither are looking at the camera, but I still like it.

The ones below, well, it was a valiant effort, my hopes were high, I had help too...there are some fun ones...not saying it was a lost cause, but I don't think I got any with both looking in the same direction with at least a pleasant expression.  Ah well, what are you going to do?!  :-)

And we're done with that... moving on to some individual ones...

Love these of Evan!!!!

And all my boys!  Love them to pieces!

 Pumpkins!!!

Cooper was oddly scared of the pumpkins...I thought he'd enjoy climbing on them, but he didn't even want to touch them!  Evan on the other hand liked trying to pick them up!

Cooper fell asleep on the hayride in Pap's arms after all that pumpkin fun.  There was no keeping him awake!  Evan had just enough energy left for his first pony ride!
